The commitment of the Ministry of Hydrocarbons and Energy, and its entity under the EEC-GNV, is to continue working in favor of the economy, the safety of users and the environment, which are precisely the qualities of Natural Gas Vehicles (NGV), a fuel whose origin is Bolivia and for all Bolivians with energy sovereignty.

In alignment with the national policy of reactivation of the energy sector, the Ministry of Hydrocarbons and Energies, and the Executing Entity of Natural Gas Vehicle (NGV) Conversion, began the reactivation of this sector with the arrival of 32.040 NGV cylinders, which will contribute to the change of the energy matrix of the national vehicle fleet, also, an approach with the free, federated and cooperativized transport is sought.

"The cylinders are made in Italy by Faber S.P.A., a world leader company with more than 40 years of experience in the design, planning and testing of cylinders. One of the main characteristics of these cylinders is that they are 15% lighter than those manufactured by other industries, since they have a high-tech manufacturing process complying with international quality standards ISO 114 39 and ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 9001, this feature allows the vehicle to have less load effort and higher performance, "said the Executive General Director of the EEC-GNV.

In this context, the arrival of the cylinders was programmed in four deliveries, being this the first one; these cylinders have different capacities of 40, 50, 60, and 80 liters that will be distributed in the central axis of the cities of La Paz, Cochabamba and Santa Cruz; also, the distribution is planned in the departments of Oruro, Potosí and Sucre; this distribution was worked based on the analysis of the number of the vehicle fleet in the respective departments.
