From the point of view of LNG refueling point infrastructure, Italy is one of the countries in the world with the greatest supply and best network of service stations that offer Liquefied Natural Gas for road transport.

And this situation is the result of the commitment of the Italian Government, which understood that the use of LNG in Italy represented a strategic activity to achieve the decarbonization objectives and to reduce emissions of substances dangerous for the environment and for the health of citizens

By 2030, if the conditions related to the regulatory and fiscal framework are favorable, the Italian Government plans to build an infrastructure in the country of around 800 LNG service stations. The use of LNG as an alternative fuel to diesel is based on its economic and environmental sustainability, so the next step that the country is taking is for the commercialization of Bio LNG in this network of stations.
