The continued use of liquefied natural gas (LNG) is not compatible with the EU's climate neutrality goal. LNG used for transport must therefore be phased out as soon as possible and replaced with more sustainable alternatives. However, LNG is likely to continue to play a short-term, temporary role where there is currently no economically viable emissions-free technology.
Therefore, Hungary's long-standing commitment to biofuels can make the production of Bio LNG the reason for a boost to the development of the network of LNG service stations in Hungary
