Norway has one of the highest number of hydrogen refueling stations per capita in the world, with a growing network of hydrogen refueling stations across the country. According to the Norwegian Hydrogen Forum, as of September 2021 there were 13 operational hydrogen stations in Norway, though not all of them selling directly to the public, with plans to expand this number to around 20 stations by 2025.
Norway's current hydrogen stations are located in various cities, including Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger, Trondheim, Porsgrunn and Kjørbo.
Some of the companies running hydrogen stations in Norway are Uno-X Hydrogen, Nel Hydrogen, Air Liquide and GreenHydrogen.
The Norwegian government has set itself the goal of becoming a zero emission society by 2050 and is investing heavily in the development of hydrogen infrastructure to support the adoption of fuel cell vehicles.
According to the Norwegian Hydrogen Forum, from September 2021, the price of hydrogen at most stations in Norway will be around NOK 100-120 (about USD 11-13) per kilogram.
