According to the government-approved plan for the development of fuel cell vehicle production until 2030, the first 100 hydrogen refueling stations will open in Russia in 2025.
Between 2025 and 2027, 100 refueling stations will be built annually, 300 stations will open in 2028 and another 200 hydrogen refueling stations between 2029 and 2030.
"The implementation of State Policy Direction 7 is planned for the period 2025-2030. The target indicator of State Policy Direction No. 7 is the establishment of at least 1,000 hydrogen refueling stations by 2030," the document states.
By January 2024, ministries will also be required to develop regulations to subsidize the construction of hydrogen refueling stations. "Co-financing of 25% of the cost of construction of hydrogen refueling stations and 30% of the cost of technical connection to the infrastructure (if funds are allocated in the federal budget for the provision of such subsidies)", - says the document of the new regulations.
