For now, Slovenia is really in the background when it comes to hydrogen, as there is no proper strategy yet. According to the information available, all the areas involved now depend on the same ministry, so a step forward is foreseeable.
Europe already envisions hydrogen corridors and infrastructure guidelines have already been drawn up for them. The amount of the investment is relative, but at first glance, of course, high. A hydrogen refueling station in Slovenia costs more than one million euros; and, in principle, more of these are needed on highways than hydrogen recharging stations.
The opening of Salonit Anhovo's first pure hydrogen filling station represents a cornerstone of the international hydrogen ecosystem in the North Adriatic region and supports Salonit Anhovo's efforts in the transition to clean and renewable energy. In this way, the only cement factory in Slovenia actively joins the initiators of the establishment of hydrogen infrastructure, economic partners and the government of the Republic of Slovenia.
