The Ukrainian government has expressed interest in developing a hydrogen economy and plans to increase the number of hydrogen refueling stations in the country. One of the first hydrogen stations in Ukraine was opened in 2020 in kyiv by the company Progresstech Ukraine. The station is currently used to supply hydrogen to the buses that circulate around the city. Another hydrogen station is located in the city of Dnipro, which is also used to refuel hydrogen buses.
In addition to these stations, there are plans to develop hydrogen infrastructure in other Ukrainian cities, such as Lviv and Kharkiv. The Ukrainian government has also signed agreements with international companies to develop hydrogen technologies in the country.
